NADH

NADH is the reduced form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and is present in every living cell. (NAD) with high energy hydrogen (H) provides energy to the body's cells, activating metabolism and optimal cell regeneration. Furthermore, negatively charged hydrogen with its extra electron is a highly efficient antioxidant which is able to neutralize free radicals in your body and thus protects against many illnesses that were previously regarded as due to age. It is an important participant in the body's electron transport system and Krebs Cycle (energy-producing processes that occur within the mitochondria of the body's cells). NAD(H) is the coenzyme or active form of vitamin B3. NAD(H) is necessary to oxidize (burn) all foodstuffs (fats, sugars, amino acids) into ATP bioenergy. NADH supplies the energy necessary to repair DNA that has become damaged as a result of mutations in the current cell life. NADH improves concentration ability by improving energy production in the brain. Parkinson's patients may benefit from NADH since, besides getting energy to the brain and muscles, NADH increases the production of dopamine within the brain and facilitates the endogenous production of L-Dopa. NADH also increases the production of norepinephrine within the brain.
